New ear, nose and throat service in Carrington pharmacy Carrington Pharmacy is taking part in a scheme to assess and treat an extended range ear, nose and throat conditions, for patients registered with a GP. After an assessment by a specially trained pharmacist – who will follow the same guidance as your GP – you will have access to NHS-funded medicines where appropriate, including prescription-only medicines. If the pharmacist thinks you need to be treated elsewhere, they can refer you to an appropriate healthcare professional. How to access the service You need to attend the pharmacy in person, where you will have a private consultation with an accredited pharmacist. This service is free. If you need medication you will pay for prescription items as normal unless you are exempt from NHS prescription charges.
